Peninsula Symphony: Eternal Love Songs

The Peninsula Symphony welcomes two guest artists, soprano Renée Rapier and violinist Alex Zhou, in their May Program Eternal Love Songs. San Francisco Opera star Renée Rapier will perform Mahler’s Rückert Songs. Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet Fantasy-Overture is paired with his violin concerto, featuring Alex Zhou, the 2018 winner of the Irving M. Klein International String Competition.

Peninsula Symphony: Family Concert

The Peninsula Symphony presents their annual family concert at the Aragon High School Theatre. The even will include a full narrated performance of “Peter and the Wolf”, excerpts from Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition”, and the young 1st place winner of the Marilyn Mindell Piano Competition.

Prior to the concert, at 2:15, is an opportunity to hear a recital by other winners in the Marily Mindell Piano Competition. The Family Concert begins at 3:00.

Peninsula Symphony: Old and New Worlds

The Peninsula Symphony’s March performance features guest artist Emi Ferguson playing Reinecke’s flute concerto and her own arrangement of a Vivaldi flute concerto. The orchestra will also be performing Dvorak’s “New World” Symphony and Gears, composed by orchestra member Ron Miller.
